Puzzle For Visit Rapid City

The project

Destination marketing that turns the character of Rapid City and the Black Hills into useful, engaging experiences across print, digital campaigns and visitor touchpoints.

My role
Graphic design, campaign production, email graphics and content; booklet and map updates; Amazing Rush puzzle design. Scope is stated per project.
Scope of work
  • Cruising brochure and illustrated route map
  • Print advertisements and airport billboard
  • Leisure email campaigns and banner advertisements
  • Amazing Rush puzzle, shirts and recap videos
  • Visitor map updates
  • Mobile website content and implementation coordination

The context

The work needed to serve different moments in a visitor’s journey: inspire a trip, explain what to do, make a destination easier to navigate and give trade audiences a reason to participate.

Design approach

I used destination imagery as the entry point, then built a clear information hierarchy around each format. Campaign graphics carry from print into digital channels; visitor materials balance detailed practical information with recognizable destination branding. For Amazing Rush, a comic-book visual language turns local attractions into a playful puzzle.
